July 2016

We just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you from both of us, for all the care, love, support, learning and encouragement [our son] has received from each and everyone of you throughout his time at Rotherfield. You have all helped shape him and make him become the confident, polite, well rounded and ready for his next stage in life’s adventure little boy that he is today. We know he will miss the staff and the lovely friends he has made along the way. It has been a special time for him and we have enjoyed and learnt from being part of his journey with you all. You have all been and will continue to be amazing. Card from the parents of one of our 2016 leavers.

Thank you so much for making this such an amazing journey for [our daughter]. She has loved every minute and will miss you all for sure.

Thank you for the strong foundation you have helped her build to give her the confidence to move on into the big world. Card from the parents of one of our 2016 leavers

July 2016

Thank you all so much for giving [our daughter] the best possible start in her school days.  She loves pre-school and can’t wait to go every day.  She is so excited to start “big school” but also sad to be leaving pre-school.

We can’t wait for [our younger daughter] to start in September! Card from the parents of one of our 2016 leavers, with next daughter starting soon!

Just a little something to say a massive thank you for everything your do for [our son].  You all do such an amazing job, he’s really grown in his confidence in the past year. Card from a current parent

The Pre-School is outstanding in every way. The nurture and care given to individuals; the quality of well trained staff; the stimulating learning environment and the child centred philosophy made the transition from child-minder to pre-school a breeze for my daughter. Thank you to everyone.

Thank you to all the staff at Rotherfield Pre-School for everything you have done for Grace since she started with you.  It really is a wonderful place to learn and play and we are very sad to be saying goodbye. We can’t wait for Alfie to start there when he is old enough. Thank you once again.

Dear all, it was such fun to be there helping you with the Christmas craft yesterday... I actually didn't do any crafts, but went with the flow as Lydia preferred and did a bit of computer art, reading and a lot of playing (I was a builder outside, a cook and a chambermaid with the dressing up, in the home corner, and a storyteller with the play dough) My child loved having me there and sharing her special place of fun and learning with me! It was a very special afternoon, thank you!

Just wanted to say a huge congratulations for another outstanding Ofsted report. It is very well deserved. Each day you make pre school a happy, creative and safe environment, and Abigail loves it there. All the staff are very skilled and just lovely characters, friendly and approachable. I couldn't think of where Abi would be happier in her early learning years - thank you!

This has been a whirlwind year for Sophie; moving to another continent, leaving friends far away and starting school.  I cannot imagine any other school who could have made all this change and transition so brilliantly as you have for Sophie.  You and the team have been wonderful for Sophie and we are so very grateful.  You guys go over and above on everything and you never cease to amazement. Sophie loves her school and so do we.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Charlotte and Russell (parents of Sophie)

Just a quick note to say thank you to all the lovely staff at pre-school for making me feel so welcome today.  I had a lovely time baking with the kids.  You have created such a lovely environment for the children and I was thrilled to have the opportunity to get involved today.  Jean-Jacques absolutely loves pre-school and its been wonderful to see his personality and confidence grow since he started.  Thank you for helping him settle in so well.

The first thing you see on websites when looking for a pre-school for your child is the home page and with Rotherfield Pre-School the top of the page says "Making it good, for every child, every day" - their ethos. Well, I read this and absorbed the website along with a visit back in 2009 and well who knew that we were about to embark on the most amazing journey of education and play that my son could receive. Starting your 2 year old anywhere is daunting and I have to say, I was rather worried that it was all too early but from the very first day my concerns completely vanished as Elliot just loved it and you just had the impression that nothing was too much. In this I mean, all the staff completely understand what you are going through as a parent as they are parents themselves. In addition and possibly more importantly they are 100% focused on your child and making sure that they feel happy and safe in their environment. Elliot would sometimes fall asleep in the early days and Fiona (Ona) his key worker would let him sit on her lap, nod off until home time at 1pm when I am sure she had a million things to do and even on one occasion offered to carry him to the car so as not to wake him. Elliot has thrived at Rotherfield Pre-school, made some wonderful friends, has had the opportunity to be independent under a very watchful eye. It is not often that you can say that your child wants it to be a pre-school day and for any parent, just knowing that your child is happy, safe and in an nurturing environment is perfect. Thank you so very for the years Elliot has spent with you and I know that they have helped shaped him and give him the tools to move on to Primary School and again thrive. Elliot is quite shy (well sometimes) but all the "girls" have taken time to help him find and bring out his voice, which was so needed for school. Elliot would say that the best things about his pre-school are the Didi-cars, cars, story time, reading corner, the little toilets, running races on the Recreational Ground, playing with his friends, tidy up time and dancing. There is so much more probably but that is a snap shot of the fun that he has had.

So, thank you from the bottom of my heart and here's to all the lucky parents that get to send their kids to Rotherfield Pre-school, they will have a wonderful time.

Calum has joined the pre-school in September 2011. He loves it and looks forward to going in. He's made a lot of friends and his confidence, social skills and general knowledge have grown by far. He likes his teachers and knows he can trust and rely on them when mummy isn't there. And so can I. Everyone is professional, friendly and has ALWAYS a smile on their face (even when's raining). Well done and thank you all for doing such a great job.

Monika (mother of Calum)

I just would like to say what a fantastic pre-school you are. Caleb adores every second he is with you, and is always disappointed when I tell him it isn't a school day! He has come on leaps and bounds, and with him starting big school in Sept I know that he has had the best start in his education by attending pre-school. Thank you for all your hard work and continuous effort in ensuring every day is a happy and fun filled day!!

Emily Barton (mother of Caleb and has since become a member of staff)

Just a little thank you so much for showing Jacob and I around your preschool this morning. I think we can safely say we both fell in love with it and are really excited to be joining you soon.

A wonderful environment with staff to match - a proper little 'happy house'!

Thank you again.

I wanted to say how lovely we thought Rotherfield Pre-School was and how helpful and reassuring Fiona was. Joshua didn't hesitate for a moment and was up at the painting table within 10 minutes of arriving. Thank you once again.
