Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification is desired preferred
Paediatric First Aid and Hygiene certification is desired, but training can be given.Part of the role could be joining us at forest school, which is outside in all weathers.
Ideal Hours: Various Term Time Only, sickness cover and training cover.
Responsibilities
● Demonstrate a clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities for children in our care.
● Confident in raising any concerns to the the Preschool Manager/Deputy Manager/Trustee eg. children, parents, or the safety of equipment preserving confidentiality as necessary.
● Responsible for duties assigned on the rota. Engage with and teach children, offering an appropriate level of support and stimulation.
● Responsible for helping to plan the weekly curriculum and recommend improvements to pre-schools activities and organisation.
● Responsible for helping set up the room
● Act as a Key Person responsible for a small group of children, liaising closely with parents/carers and ensuring each child’s needs are recognised and met.
● Responsible for maintaining manageable records and assessments on those children in the Key Person group.
● Attend paid staff meetings and in-service training courses.
● To treat sensitively any confidential information regarding the children, their families or other staff which is learnt as part of the job.
Candidate Requirements
● Level 2 or 3 Childcare Qualification is ideal.
● Articulate, confident and creative.
● Good level of written and spoken English.
● Good understanding of the EYFS framework and government requirements.
