About Us
Rotherfield Village Pre-school is an outstanding nursery that provides care and education to children aged 2-4 years. We also offer an early bird club, after-school club and holiday club care.
Responsibilities
● Responsible for duties assigned on rota. Play with and teach children, offering an appropriate level of support and stimulation.
● Responsible for helping to plan weekly curriculum and recommend improvements to preschools activities and organisation.
● Responsible for helping setting-up the room
● Act as a Key Person responsible for a small group of children, liaising closely with parents/carers and ensuring each child’s needs are recognised and met.
● Responsible for maintaining manageable records and assessments on those children in the Key Person group.
● Attend paid staff meetings and in-service training courses.
● Advise the Preschool Manager/Deputy Manager of any concerns eg. children, parents, or the safety of equipment preserving confidentiality as necessary.
● To treat sensitively any confidential information regarding the children, their families or other staff which is learnt as part of the job.
Candidate Requirements
● Level 3 Childcare Qualification is ideal. We would consider a strong Level 2, who would like to progress.
● Articulate, confident and creative.
● Good level of written and spoken English.
