Qualified Early Years Deputy Manager

We’re seeking a dedicated and qualified Deputy Manager to support the Preschool Manager in the day-to-day running of the setting. You’ll help lead our small but passionate team, contribute to planning and delivering the EYFS curriculum, and ensure the highest standards of care and safeguarding are maintained.

Qualified Early Years Deputy Manager

We are looking for qualified and enthusiastic Level 2 and 3 EYFS Practitioners to join our passionate team. You will play a vital role in planning and delivering engaging learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), supporting children’s development, and building strong relationships with families.

We are looking for a SENCO Practitioner with a strong understanding of early years development and a commitment to inclusive practice. This is a key role within our preschool, responsible for identifying, coordinating, and supporting the additional needs of children, and ensuring we meet all SEND requirements under the EYFS and current legislation. Training can be given.

Some additional information about our current vacancies

Responsibilities

● Responsible for duties assigned on rota. Engage with and teach children, offering an appropriate level of support and stimulation.

● Responsible for helping to plan weekly curriculum and recommend improvements to preschools activities and organisation.

● Responsible for helping setting-up the room

● Act as a Key Person responsible for a small group of children, liaising closely with parents/carers and ensuring each child’s needs are recognised and met.

● Responsible for maintaining manageable records and assessments on those children in the Key Person group.

● Attend paid staff meetings and in-service training courses.

● Advise the Preschool Manager/Deputy Manager of any concerns eg. children, parents, or the safety of equipment preserving confidentiality as necessary.

● To treat sensitively any confidential information regarding the children, their families or other staff which is learnt as part of the job.


Candidate Requirements

● Level 3 Childcare Qualification is ideal. We would consider a strong Level 2, who would like to progress.

● Articulate, confident and creative.

● Good level of written and spoken English.

● Good understanding of the EYFS framework and government requirements.
